It’s the fifth time we’ve done it with a small group of people-our little motorcycle family. But first, my wife Melissa and I are flying to Milwaukee, where we’re raising money for amfAR with Kiehl’s by going on a motorcycle ride from Milwaukee to New York City. Other than Maine, any other summer plans? Maine is going to be our mini vacation. We’re actually going to go visit her there next month. I remember this one episode that was particularly funny to me, when my character finds himself unable to become aroused. It’s funny when you’re shooting these scenes. I’m sure there are more than a few uncomfortable moments during filming. I’m walking out the door and I’ll say, “O.K., honey, I’m off to take my clothes off.” Although I will say, certain scenes are not her favorite! It’s a strange thing we do as actors. She’s an actor, too, so she totally gets it. What does your wife think of your role on the show? She’s awesome and one hundred percent supportive. We must be doing something right, since the guest cast we attract could actually headline their own show. There’re also a lot of great new characters. At one point, there’s a time jump, and we find everyone settled a few years ahead. Masters ( Michael Sheen) has been fired from the hospital. I can say: Everyone is in a different place in season two, not only emotionally but also physically. How much can you tell us about what’s going to happen in the second season? It’s hard being deliberately vague when trying to give some information. Ahead of the show’s second-season premiere on Sunday, Vogue caught up with the actor and asked him what we could look forward to this time around.
